Junior Academies and Trials

New for 2022, we are introducing Junior Academies and Trials, for Secondary School children (Yr 7-10). These are aimed at children and young people who enjoy handball and want to learn some more of the basic skills and techniques in playing the sport. They also offer a pathway to join the youth sections of the club and play competitive handball in EHA Regional Leagues.

The Secondary Academy and Trials are on Sundays, 1:00-2:30pm. These are for boys and girls, and will consist mainly of technique training and game play. We will also use these as trials for our youth teams. Sessions are at Kings Heath Boys School.

Cost: Free to the end of June 2022

PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS PLACES ARE LIMITED. We would prefer you to register, so that we know how many are attending. If in doubt, just turn up!

Academy registration is in 2 parts:

1. Register with the club (as Primary or Secondary Academy player)
2. Register with England Handball

Junior Academy

Please register to be able to attend the academy (either Primary or Secondary). All players pay per session for attending training.

Junior Academy members must register with the club and with the England Handball Association to be covered by insurance for training.

Annual Fee = payable to EHA

All Birmingham Handball members must register with the EHA via the EHA website, in addition to registering with Birmingham Handball. Failure to do so will mean players/members are not covered by EHA insurance.
