The Bisons hosted Liverpool on Sunday 25th February at our "home" ground, Cannock Chase Leisure Centre. This was always promising to be a tough day, and so it proved! Our Men 1 team took an early lead and then struggled to keep the momentum, falling behind at half time. Liverpool kept the lead, until right near the end, when some aggressive and positive defence led to the Bisons drawing level. A game in which both teams would have thought they should have won.

Next up were the Bison women, and again they struggled, due to lack of numbers on the bench. The women were neck and neck with Liverpool right up into the second half, with our 'keeper keeping the Bisons in the game, but lack of bench depth really hurt the team and Liverpool ran out winners. The women played positively and never gave up, a real credit to their courage and determination.

Finally our Men 2 team played Liverpool 2 in the EHA Regional League. Our men never really got into their stride and went behind early on and it stayed that way to the end. Whilst the men lost, they will rue missing a substantial number of penalties, which if they had converted them, could have seen them win. Instead, they seemed to be content on hitting the Liverpool keeper instead of the goal. A disappointing result, but all three teams can take something from the day.

On a more positive note, our Bison Boys U14 team played on Saturday and came away with 4 out of 4 wins in the EHA U14 Championship North. A brilliant result for these young lads!
